Weather Stations

Improving weather information and forecasts for our operations

Remote automatic weather stations (RAWS) are positioned at the threshold of Union Glacier ice runway and other strategic locations. The weather data they provide is just one of the tools used by our meteorologist to develop weather forecasts for flights and field operations. ANI's weather stations are a joint project between our parent company Antarctic Logistics & Expeditions (ALE) and Ronald Ross.
