Approximately 14,000 people visit the Antarctic by vessel each year. Only 200 visit the interior Some 60% of the Antarctic continent remain unexplored. Adventure Network International provides support for up to 12 private expeditions each year. A Treaty governs the continent, but no one owns Antarctica.
