The Ellsworth Mountain Range the highest range in Antarctica, form a broadly north-south trending chain 360 km in length and 50 km in width. Vinson Massif, the highest peak, is roughly half way down the range. The rocks vary in age from more than 1,000,000,000 years to a mere 250,000,000 years and are in places extremely deformed. Massive granite peaks jut from the polar ice of the Union Glacier to heights of over 16,000 ft.
Adventure Network International offers an array of guided climbing expeditions in this spectacular range. Many of these peaks are as yet unclimbed and there is a real possibility of a "first-to-summit" opportunity. In addition, the miles of untouched snow provide excellent skiing opportunities for beginner and expert alike. We invite you to contact us today to discuss your expedition plans for this area
